Victoria Jazz All Stars Early New Year’s Eve Party | Dec 31
 
Do you want to squeeze in all the fun and festivities on the last day of the year? Kick-off your New Year's Eve plans by dropping in on Hermann’s Jazz Club in the heart of downtown Victoria. The celebration starts early with incredible musicians performing soulful swinging jazz. The show takes place from 3 pm to 6 pm with doors opening at 1 pm — all ages are welcome! Groove along to groundbreaking music with other jazz lovers before heading to your next party. Tickets are just $35!
 
Reign in the New Year at the Royal BC Museum | Dec 31
 
Celebrate the arrival of the new year at an iconic landmark — the Royal BC Museum! From 6 pm to 8:30 pm, you can join a party in the rainforest of the exhibition Maya: The Great Jaguar Rises. This party in the jungle is family-friendly where all ages are welcome! There will be music, activities, and games for everyone to enjoy. Tickets are $24 for adults and $16 for youth!
 
New Year’s Eve Dinner & Gala at the Fairmont Empress | Dec 31
 
If you want to celebrate New Year’s Eve like royalty, don’t miss the New Year’s Eve Dinner and Gala at the famous Fairmont Empress hotel. Tickets aren’t necessarily cheap — the event costs $210 per person — but tickets for children are 50% off. The event is guaranteed to be a lavish affair and is perfect for those who are willing to spend a little extra to feel like a king or queen (or Empress!) for a night. The dinner will feature a five-course set menu, with a wine pairing option for $90 per person. You’ll have a choice of appetizer and the main course, plus a large “grand finale” dessert buffet after dinner. Following the meal, the party starts in the Crystal Ballroom featuring live music by local singer/songwriter Amanda Woods. To toast the new year, you'll be served a complimentary glass of sparkling wine at midnight. This is a black-tie event.
