Halloween is just around the corner. Luckily, there is no shortage of festive events happening around Victoria. From a family-friendly pumpkin hunt at the Sidney Museum to a truly terrifying haunted house taking over an abandoned movie theatre, check out the top three Halloween events in Victoria.
Festival of Fear is back at Galey Farms this month. A family-friendly event, the 2021 edition of the Festival of Fear features a corn maze, train rides, and lots of Spooktacular displays. There’s also a ghost town and a kid-friendly haunted house. Festival of Fear tickets are available in time slots from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The Festival of Fear not your thing? Galey Farms is also home to Pumpkinfest and CarnEvil (a 5,000 square foot house of terror) this spooky season.
Monsters Haunted House returns to Victoria this month, so prepare to be scared! With the closure of the movie theatre at University Heights Mall becoming permanent, it was the perfect spot to host this year’s haunted house event. Ideal for thrill seekers, Monsters Haunted House isn’t for the faint of heart. Tickets can be purchased online and cost $21.85. Limited tickets are available this year owing to COVID-19 so get yours while you can.
Looking for a family-friendly way to spend Halloween? Look no further than the Jack O’Lantern Hunt at the Sidney Museum. Guests of all ages are invited to participate in the 2nd annual edition of this event, taking place on October 22nd. Hidden throughout the Sidney Museum, attendees will find small jack o’ lanterns with hidden treats. Participants will not only walk away with candy but will be entered to win a grand prize (a $100 gift card to Buddies Toys in Sidney).
