A Very Merry Potter Marathon | December 21 to 29

Gather in the Common Room and don’t forget your robes! This holiday season, the Victoria Film Festival is hosting A Very Merry Potter Marathon at The Vic Theatre! You’ll get to watch all your favourite Harry Potter movies on the big screen, and then hang out with other witches and wizards in the theatre lobby, which will be decked out with games, prizes, snacks, and lots of butter beer! The screenings begin on Saturday, December 22nd and continue over the 2 weekends, with two films shown per weekend day. All ages are welcome!
 

11th Annual Gingerbread Showcase | November 16 - January 5

Everyone loves to make gingerbread houses during the holidays, but Habitat for Humanity Victoria takes it to the next level — and for a good cause! Each year, Habitat for Humanity hosts its annual Gingerbread Showcase to raise funds for safe, affordable housing. You can view this year’s tasty entries at the Parkside Hotel & Spa and vote for your favourite creations! This year’s showcase theme is Building a Diverse Community. Come support a good cause, whet your candy appetite, and get inspiration for your own gingerbread creations!
 

Merry & Bright Weekends at Bastion Books | December 14 to 22

Nothing says cozy like snuggling up with a good book next to a roaring fire. This winter, Bastion Books is bringing back its' Merry & Bright Weekends to help get you back in that cozy comfy holiday mood. Over the weekends of December 14-15 and 21-22, head to Bastion Books for a warm fire, hot apple cider, and fun paper crafts (like gift tags, holiday cards, and DIY ornaments)! They’ll have all the materials you need to create a special gift or ornament. All ages are welcome!
