Have the shopping bug? Like to get an early start on buying Christmas presents? Look no further than Victoria for the best artisan markets and craft fairs around! By shopping at craft fairs and local markets, you’ll find unique products, support local businesses, and experience the magic of Victoria’s community all at once! Check out just some of Victoria’s upcoming craft fairs and artisan markets below:
Creative Craft Fair | November 8-10
Victoria’s 42nd annual Creative Craft Fair returns this November for 3 days of awesome local goods, food, and entertainment. This is a great way to get a leg up on your Christmas shopping (or treat yourself!), with an amazing selection of jewelry, glass art, ceramics, candles, bath and beauty products, clothing, toys, specialty foods, and much, much more. This event is more than just a simple craft fair. Local DJ Richard White will be creating a lively atmosphere with a variety of great tunes and announcing draw prizes throughout the event. Musician Greg Joy will also appear as a special guest, playing Christmas, Celtic, and original music on guitar and hammered dulcimer from 11 am to 5 pm on November 9th and 10th. There will also be a children’s craft area and food vendors to make this a day that everyone can enjoy! Admission to the fair is $6 for a single day or just $6.50 for admission to all three days. Children under 12 get in free when accompanied by an adult!
Handmade Village Craft Market | November 17
There are over 50 vendors scheduled to be at the Handmade Village Craft Market this year! You’ll find everything from Christmas crafts and baked goods to jewelry, candles, homeware, and more at this awesome local market. You can also shop for locally designed clothing, original art, and unique upcycled items while buying local and supporting Victoria’s creators and artisans. There will also be food trucks to satisfy your appetite and draws to win prizes! Admission to the market is free and there is lots of free parking, so bring all your friends!
Nerdy Days of Christmas Craft Fair | November 30-December 1
Are you a geek at heart? Or looking for that perfect gift for someone in a very specific fandom? Be sure to check out the Nerdy Days of Christmas Craft Fair on November 30 and December 1st! This is Victoria’s only craft fair dedicated to “the geeks and nerds”! You’ll find lots of great items paying homage to pop culture’s favourite characters, movies, and games. Whether you’re looking for Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Mario Kart, or something else entirely, your best bet is to take a gander at the Nerdy Days of Christmas. Admission to the market is by donation, with 100% of door proceeds going to the Victoria Hospitals Foundation!
Don’t miss this chance to buy awesome gifts or find that unique treasure for yourself! When you stay at Best Western Carlton Plaza Hotel, you get a
clean and comfortable room in an awesome central location
without breaking the bank, so you can spend your hard-earned dollars on something special you can’t find anywhere else!
