Prepare yourself for some serious festival fun, because Rifflandia is taking place in downtown Victoria from September 13 to 16.

The festival has an incredible track record of booking artists well before their commercial peak—acts like Post Malone, Macklemore, Kiesza and Killer Mike—have all graced the stage over the years, so if you are a serious music-lover, you really can’t afford to miss it.

This year’s headliners include Daniel Caesar, Jessie Reyez, Adventure Club, Current Swell & Friends and Bishop Briggs… Oh yes. Daniel Caesar was twice nominated at this year’s Grammy Awards and Jessie Reyez won breakthrough artist of the year at the Juno Awards.

But there is so much more than music on offer at Rifflandia. Here are four big more reasons why we’re excited…

1. Because We’re Going to the Gathering
The Rifflandia Gathering is a music industry conference that coincides with the Rifflandia festival. Canadian and international music industry experts will descend upon Victoria for panel sessions, grant funding sessions, networking events and speed dating sessions.

2. Because We Can Get Some Sweet Deals with our Wristbands
Take advantage of your Rifflandia Wristband perks with the Wristband Connect promotion. Wristband Connect is your ultimate guide to exclusive deals in downtown Victoria. Local businesses offer sweet, sweet deals to all Rifflandia wristband wearers in the week leading up to and during Rifflandia. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the list of partners in the run-up to the festival

3. Because We’re Going to Win Some Swag
Winlandia is your chance to take home some sweet swag from local businesses around Victoria. Free to enter while wearing your wristband, Winlandia entry boxes are located at businesses like Baggins Shoes, Cook Street Castle Building and Bay Street Castle, BC Smoke Shop, Bon Macaron Patisserie and Elate Clean Cosmetics.

If you’re a music lover and you’re heading to Victoria for Rifflandia, check in to the Best Western PLUS Carlton Plaza. Take a short walk down Government Street from this AAA Three Diamond hotel and in seven minutes you’ll find yourself at the beautiful Inner Harbour and the Legislature Buildings.
