3 Unmissable Events at Victoria Beer Week

Taking place from March 2 to 10, Victoria Beer Week is a nine-day festival that showcases the incredible selection of brews available from BC’s impressive craft breweries.
 
Hosting a great variety of events that celebrate the pairing of BC craft beers with the products of local artisan food vendors, the festival is a must for beer lovers and self-confessed foodies alike. Here are three Victoria Beer Week events that you simply must not miss…
 
1. Lift Off!
This special beer launch event at Victoria Public Market on March 2 provides the opportunity to taste at least a dozen brand new, unreleased beers from some of BC’s best breweries, alongside food from the Victoria Public Market’s fantastic vendors. The $50 ticket includes: access to 12 brand new beers, food options from the vendors, six 4oz servings of beer, two food tickets and one Victoria Beer Week branded glass sampler.
 
2. Fishing for Beer
Fish and seafood lovers rejoice! You can sample a variety of craft beers along with the freshest fish and shellfish from local vendors at Victoria Public Market on March 3. A $40 ticket includes access to at least a dozen beers from BC’s finest breweries, fish and seafood options, complimentary Victoria Beer Week sampler glass, four drink tickets and two food tickets. A $60 ticket also includes a crab boil plate.
 
3. Beer School
Victoria Beer Week’s Beer School is a fun and informative event where you can learn all about your favourite subject! Taking place on March 4 at Swans Brewpub, there are two classes to choose from. Tickets are $20 per class or $30 for both classes – and each class includes a glass of beer.
